Dear Emma

My name is Chris and I am looking for extra hours to help me start some driving lessons in the near future. I am looking for some weekend shifts. Preferably I would like Saturday and Sunday shifts to be the same, as I attend a college during the week. Any extra hours are appriciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter, and I hope to hear from you soon.

You do need to find out her last name because that is professional. To use just her first name is to imply that you know her personally. You want to sound as professional as possible because you want to be taken seriously. I hope this helps.

Dear Ms. Emma,

I am looking for extra hours to help pay for driving lessons and [Manager's name] referred me to you. Since I attend college during the week, I would prefer a shift on Sunday at the same time as my Saturday shift. If this is difficult to arrange, I'm not picky- any other time for me to work extra hours would be appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

Chris

you might want to put in where u work or the name of the place plus your last name. and a signature in the end with a email or a phone number were she can contact you

Federal Grant Money, same in all states?

Does Rutgers give a lot of money out in grants?

Also, if you qualified in Fed grant money for 2150 at one school, will it be the same there as another in a different state?

Your Pell Grant money will be the same no matter what school you attend... and no matter what state.

Rutgers probably don't give out ANY grant money. They prob only give out scholarships. It's your state and the Feds who give out grant money (based on the fafsa results) like the Pell and the FSEOG and SMART grant.

Inside birthday cards, what other words can you use instead of

after the little poem or whatever's in your card, you write

'from: ___' or 'Love, ___'.

What else can you use instead of From and Love? Because 'from' is too plain, and 'love' is too lovey-ish.

Best Wishes

although i think writing something (a poem or birthday greetings) and just signing your name looks classy :)

Put a random adjective with the ending "ly" before "yours" and you'll seem cute and original i.e. "magnificently yours" or "ridiculously yours" or "opaquely yours" or "odourlessly yours"

Enjoy your special day.

Best wishes.

Cheers.

Thinking of you.

Regards.

Many happy returns of the day.

Choose one, or something else and then sign your name.

.......All the Best

.........Wishing you the best day ever!

sometimes Happy Birthday again

:):)

I always end my cards with the words "Always, Adam". Its good for Friends and family.

hmmm if is to ur man i always put " from ur girl poppi" (thats me)..n i always finish it with... " i love u more then a fat kid loves cake" :)

What's the value of an Argosy University degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology versus a degree from Colorado State University?

There are a lot of bad reviews of Argosy University. Go to onlinedegreereviews.org to see how they rate Argosy University Online. I would not go there if you paid me to.Good luck.

OMG PLEASE HELP ME IM IN DIRE NEED OF ASSISTANCE!!!!!!!!!?

okay so heres the scoop, last week i was walking down the road when all of a sudden i saw an arab!!!! he must have recently moved into my apartment complex because i found his towel thing on the stairs. i consulted with my fellow klansmen and klan chapterhouse on what might be neccessary action. they suggested that i bathe him in righteous fires, normally i would oblige but recently my informant in the department of homeland security has told me that the department has caught wind of our recent linchings of the dreaded tyrome biggs!!! i want to purify this man but im afraid that this time the u.s. justice system wont look the other way. what should i do???

my fellow klansmen, we must work to get rid of scum like the arabs off the face of the earth!

we must conquer and destroy chase, conquer and destroy!

the solution is simple. we must join together to eradicate the bacteria of the arabs, jews and blacks! they are using the blacks as muscle against us all!

You know, there are two things in this world I really hate.

1) When people start a question with OMG.

2) Racist a$$holes.

Congrats, you're 2 for 2.

if you're for real, how about you turn yourself in to the local mental house.

Freak

YOU'RE A FREAK!!!!!!!!!!

Are there any countries that offer free college to foreigners?...like American foreigners?

I was wondering if countries like Finland and Switzerland offer free education for foreigners. I'm American and would like to do my graduate years in one of these "free" countries but I'm not sure if they're only free for citizens.

As of 2010 Finland and Sweden will be joining most other EU nations in offering free/subsidised tuition fees only to other EU citizens (who have been resident for at least 3 years) and so as an American you will not qualify. Whilst having free tuition is clearly very attractive, we do actually pay for this through our higher taxes and so I'm sure you can appreciate that we're not that keen to pay for the education of an American who has never contributed to our taxes!

At university can you mix any two subjects together?

For example...

Fashion and Spanish.

Or...

Photography and Geography.

Thanks!

At some universities you can mix some of the subjects up. It's called a joint honours. A friend of mine is doing one in French and Business Studies. It depends on the courses and the universities you are looking at. You can usually find out on their websites what courses you can combine. Hope this helps.

No. It depends on the individual university as to what they allow for joint or combined degrees. Some may not allow you to do two subjects together because they feel they aren't good to study together or because the timetabling doesn't allow it. If you have a particular joint degree in mind there is probably a university that offers the two together though.

usually you can. Some people like to double major in two very different areas.

However, sometimes certain programs don't allow a double major because they are too specialize and the workload demands that you devote all your time to it. Often, these majors are within structure "programs", like engineering programs for engineering majors or art programs for graphic design or illustration majors.

Dual-degree program, sure. The problem is the amount of classes. You see, doing a dual-degree in two sciences or two languages is fairly simple as there are lots of courses in common. I daresay you'd add at least 2 years onto your college career by mixing the ones you listed, as there are few courses in common.

Yes, as long as you think they are both beneficial to you. That's called joint degree:)

You can do 50:50 joint degree and 75:25 known as major/minor degree. You have to check first whether any university run your choosen mix of subjects first.

yeah i can mix the Photography and Geography.and thanks don"t worry be happy trest me

Yes, the first combination is much more likely than the second though.

I really need some career advice. Please please help me. Ten points to most helpful. Thank You.?

OK, so here the deal...I finished high school last year and took a year off to decide what I ultimately want to do, and finally I have come to the conclusion that I want to be an entrepreneur. I thinking about majoring in business, but I don know what specialization to choose...ANY IDEA? Also, I don really have any business ideas. If I come up with something, I kind of want to start something now. The only problem is..I don really know what industries are going to boom in the coming future. Also, I worried to do business in this economy, what do you think??? I just don know if I want to major in Business. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE HELPFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

So, my questions are:

1) What specialization do you think is the best? (More job opportunities?)

2) What industries are going to boom in the future? (Best to do business in?)

3) Do you think I should start some sort of business now?

4) Is it a good idea to major in business? (Considering the recession?)

Some colleges, like Babson, actually allow you to concentrate in entrepreneurship. You'd be a business major, but your focus would be entrepreneurship.

You should major in business, if you think you'd enjoy it. It's a very flexible major - what you do with it is up to you, and depends, in large part, on which co-ops, internships, and other career-type experiences you get while you study. Even today, business majors do get hired. And by the time you graduate, this recession should be in the past.

Which specialization? Go with your strengths. For example, accoutants are always in demand. Always. But do you like accounting? If not, then don't do it.

Which industries? Medical devices, pharamceuticals, healthcare, hospitals, education, and green energy. But does that mean that you'd be a failure if your interests took you toward sports management? Absolutely not.

Starting a business now? If you have an idea, why not? Keep it small and simple at first, and build.

The economy is going to be okay. I promise. especially by the time you get ready to graduate, a lot of things can change in 4-5 years. if you want to start your own business, you need to think of what you enjoy doing. Advertising is almost always a good idea, also graphic design and marketing.

my teachers are telling me i might get left back and i cant because i need to go to a good school in the future to pursue my career im after(lawyer) but getting left back will ruin chances for just about most important jobs.im nearing the end of the 3rd quarter and im passing maybe 3 classes, and i have about 3 other classes with low 60s,about 2 with 50's,and maybe 2 others below 50.i can get the below 50 classes up to about a 60 before the end but i dont know how i can do it with the others.can someone please help me work out something that i can follow so i can bring my grades back up?

Any short quotes with the word

I know its a hard request, sorry!

HMMM TOUGH ONE~!

I bombed my exams this week?

So, I%26#039;m a sophomore-ish junior in college. I had 3 exams this week, and I think I screwed something up in each of them. I studied pretty hard for each exam the night before, and I knew the answer to every question when I was preparing for them.

However, when I was actually taking the test, I always missed a couple of questions. I just couldn%26#039;t recall anything... my mind went blank...

I felt so bad and so guilty afterward. I messed up all three exams. I know those stupid mistakes could%26#039;ve been avoided... I just don%26#039;t know why I couldn%26#039;t do well on the exam. I%26#039;ve been that sort of perfectionist, and I really really want to be 100% correct on every exam. (Of course, sometimes teachers make stupid and tricky exams which turn out not to be what you%26#039;ve expected.) I feel terribly freaked out when I fail to get an A in a course. Perhaps I%26#039;ve over-emphasized college in my life.

I simply can%26#039;t forgive myself for making those dumb mistakes on the exams this week. I%26#039;m feeling terribly bad... What shall I do? Please help...thanks!

You%26#039;ve got to get past it. It%26#039;s done. There is nothing you can do about it now. As for next time, try studying a little for 3 or 4 nights before the exam. Always get plenty of sleep the night before. Studies show that students who are cramming do much better sleeping the night before than staying up late to study.

Can a teacher do this?

One of my teachers decided to give a test today. She said that if you're not here and don't write the test you get a zero. The thing is, it's not just people who skip the class who will get a zero it's anyone who isn't there. Even people who are legitimately sick and bring a note in from their parents or doctors saying so! Can she make you get a zero even if you're so sick you can hardly drag yourself out of bed?

A teacher has the right to offer "pop' quizzes during the class session. I call mine - "Reading Recall" If a student is absent, there is no way to respond to the pop quiz. However, I do offer other opportunities for a student to 'earn that grade' through something else given. Keep in mind - there are many ways that teachers assess students. They don't always have to be the usual "test".

In my school, each teacher must present a syllabus to the students which include everything they should know and expect for that school year - including the possibility of pop quizzes that they might miss. Parents and students read and sign and then I sign.

This prevents questions later in the year about "I didn't know....."

I also offer the opportunity for my students to know what their weekly grades are and they keep track using a rubric. They should not be surprised if they fail. They keep track of their own assignments, submissions and work. Additionally, because we are an Arts Magnet school, our students often get credit for participation in plays, band, and other dramatic opportunities in and out of school.

Legitimate absences are allowed to me made up within two days. Many students' don't even take advantage of this. Also, our state tracks absences anyway. If there is no 'excused' absence slip - 4 days - gets you a phone call from the truant officer. If your parents can't explain your absence reasonably to them, they will subpeona them to court and let them explain it to the judge.

Surprise quizzes .. i love those. YES, your teacher can do that. You may not like my response but i was subjected to a lot of those when I was a student. Guess what? I studied hard and I went to school always prepared and ready for anything.

But such is life, you know, school prepares you for life (after school) and trust me, experience is a far more bitter teacher than one who gives surprise quizzes.

As for those who were not there or even legitimately sick .. tough but that's life. LIFE waits for no one ... you have to jump in the "boat" if you want to be part of the crew ...

Teachers are suppose to follow a grading policy. Tell your parents to ask for a copy of it in the school office and NOT from this teacher.

I am sure that what she is doing is NOT in the policy. Have your parents talk to principal.

I SWEAR teachers are getting worse and worse by the minute!!

Absolutely.

I doubt her "if you're not here you fail" holds true to people who are legitimately sick and can provide a doctors excuse. She has the right to request proof that you are ill - most teachers know when someone is lying and when someone is not.

No she can't. I can guarantee the school administration will overrule her if she actually tries something that absurd. Don't sweat it

Yes, she can do that, she's the teacher.... but if some one has a proper explanation for missing the exam.... she might leave him and mark absent instead of giving 0 marks.......

no she cant do tht...tell your mom. and Report her...i swear teachers can b bitches there so dumb

she might be able to. is it fair? no. but nether is students bring in fake sick slips to class. Be nice to your teacher and talk to her. she knows who is who, and might just might give you a break if your a good student of hers.

learn from this, life is not fair, its not meant to be fair. its how you handle it that really matters.

is it fair that she has to back track over information that other students have missed just because they skipped class.

to do that she has to slow down the entire class, remember she only has a finite amount of time to teach the class.

your choice if you want to talk nice to the teacher or force her (by going over her head). either way you will loose in the long run. the grade is bad but force her; then you made an enemy of her. gain her respect just like you want her to respect you. know when to pick your battles; and which ones are worth fighting for, and which ones to ignore.

oh and fyi. i have personal experience with just the same thing but

worse. i was out sick for a month. the principle said to my mom that i would have to repeat the 10th grade. all she wanted was homework for me. it was denied. so with my moms permission i droped out. i studdied for a year on my own. went to a adult testing center and took the test. I got my high school deploma not a GED but a high school deploma. a year early. my mom took my deploma back to the principle of that school and through it in his face and said i told you so, and he did it a year early. she said you are an expert on education? yeah right!.

was it fair no, but you do what you need to do.

life is never fair, or should be, or will be. learn that and your ahead of the rest.

Why do people go

Curiously, it's similar to the noise you make when you drop your ice-cream cone on the floor.. awwwwwww...

I think its more of a gag reflex.

I don't do that. If I see a puppy that I actually think is cute that's nice, but no animated noises from me. Same thing goes for a baby. I usually don't find other people's children cute, so this is very rare. If I see one that I actually think is cute, I just look at it and think to myself, what a cute baby. That's it.

It's pre-linguistic communication. A hold over from our wild animal calls. Just like when people yell" woooooooo" a lot at mardi-gras and the MTV beach house, it's the noise people would make in the wild before we got language, to call out for sex.

People say that because well its because the puppy for eg is adorable or that owner is there and you don't want to say that's a ugly dog to hurt there feelings. Dose that answer your qustion?

society. it taught to them to go awww when they see cute. sometimes its a duty, say when the baby is actually really ugly........? you feel obliged to say awwwwwwww how cute

I LOVE TO SAY AWWW to cute things.

sometimes u have lack of words to praise or u dont know how to start praising , when u find anyone cute, then ur heart force u to say "awwww"

don't know, its just a thing, natural reflex i suppose lol..i say it all the time

Because their cute..besides would you look at a baby or puppy and say Yuck that is so UGLY:

becasue all the things you mentioned are cute

cuz theyre fricken cute!! well babies arent, but puppies are!

a reaction never studied about

i don't know but i'm the queen of saying it....awwwww sh*t!

I hope that you 'get it' some day. You are missing a lot...

idk but it is kinda weird!

Financial aid help very confused?

I already signed up for financial aid and gave them all my paper work. I applied to a community college and was wondering, who do I give my financial aid to once I get it. Do you give it to them on my orientation or when I start school?

The financial aid that you get won't be sent directly to you. The school that you attend will get all the money and then if there is any left over after all the fees have been paid then they will send a refund check to you that you can keep and do whatever you want with.

Financial aid takes care of all that stuff though, so as long as you get enough financial aid you really don't have to worry about a thing.

The financial aid will get sent to your school, not to you. Basically they pay themselves with it, and if there is any left over after your tuition, etc is paid then the financial aid office will give you a check for that money.

Also, did you do all the financial aid forms for your community college too or just the FAFSA? If it was just FAFSA call your school and see if there's anything else you should do, the college should have its own forms/paperwork too.

Can you tell me the meaning of this sentence?

DEBATE: Which day actually starts the weekend?

Is it Friday, or Saturday?

Some people are not as well off as those that enjoy weekends off. The weekend is whenever i say it is caused i am big like that. I say saturday, sunday then bam, bam, honey i am coming home.

(haha, Pointer is funny!)

Since Monday through Friday are called the Week Days, Saturday would be the first day of the two days (Saturday, Sunday) which make up the "end".

Technically, Sunday is the first day of the week, for according to Bible counting, Saturday is the sabbath, the last day of the week, the term "weekend" isn't even used in connection with counting the days that way. More accurately, the Sabbath ran from sundown to sundown, so Friday eve 'till Saturday eve was the one day of the Sabbath.

Most people consider the weekend to begin Friday night, as the last Week Day has ended after school or work.

Clear as mud! (depends on your perspective)

Friday, right after work, for most people; except for shift workers Nurses, factory workers, etc.

hey it's the friday bcoz on friday afternoons all looks forward to a wonderful late night social events drinking dancing clubbin whatever

For me, the weekend starts when I get home Friday or crack open the first beer. Whichever comes first.

Wednesday

Most people say Friday at 5 pm.

Anytime after work on Friday starts my weekend

when you leave school/work on a friday i think

Do these sentences have the same meaning ?

What she saw was a machine

she saw what was a machine

she saw the thing which was a machine

''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''...

and i also want to know can i use " are these sentences same ? instead of " do these sentences have the same meaning ?"

What she saw was a machine <<<correct

she saw what was a machine <<<not correct, it should be ''She saw a machine"

she saw the thing which was a machine<<<grammatically correct but there's something that makes it something, idk....

"Are these sentences the same?" is more correct that the second

They are all grammatically correct. but

the second one makes me think that it is no longer a machine, it has been damaged beyond repair.

The third one as well has this effect.. Unless you are looking for special effect, the best way to write the sentence is: She saw a machine.

meaning is same for all, but grammatically first is right other two are wrong.

and second part of your question you can use both, as both are right.

but the first one looks better.

Please can you tell me ion your own words what does it mean?

The development of quality standards in health and social care is promoted in government and professional documents.

Just in your own words tell me what it means?

Thank you

The government, along with health and social care professional bodies, try to promote better standards in the field of health and social care by the use of the literature which they produce.

We need to set up some standards of quality so that our work is professional looking like other government projects.

or

The government tells us that we need to meet certain standards of quality in our health and social care.

Government and professional documents contain information about the development of quality standards in health and social care.

the government controls health and social care businesses?

The statement is self-explanatory.

Sorry, but I don't know what ion means in this context. Is it possible you mean "eye on?"

Wat is an effect of the titanic?

i need to know this for a big project soo help me?? plz

One of the biggest effects was the change in Marine laws. There now has to be enough life boats to provide for EVERYONE on the ship. On the Titanic there wouldn't have been enough boats even IF they had been filled. Also it likely changed the procedure on when life boats are going to be launched. Remember most of the life boats were half-full at best when they started sending them off. There were probably changes made on ships about radio communications as well. Although the rules may have been in place this would have reinforced following them. Last is the ship was NEVER called unsinkable, it was NEARLY unsinkable.

A reminder that, technology and human intelligence is never power full enough to over come natural tragedies. We can build the best and the greatest of machines, but we can never turst our abilities to the fullest because nature will have its way.

Killed families, made changes in marine rules, highlighted the importance of life jackets and boats.

Many people died and it was a disaster that is known world wide. It made people realize that no ship is "unsinkable".

damage to the environment

Its still the top earning movie in Box Office history lol

maybe if you asked in english?

What was the stance the United States took on imperial expansion from 1898 - 1917?

I'm having a little trouble formulating a few paragraph on this. I'm pretty sure I know what I want to say, but I don't know how to say it. Please help!

I know the US possessed Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Nicaragua, Panama, Guam, and the Philipene Islands, among others. They'd gone from having an inward focus to an outward focus.

Did the recent sweep of industrialization have anything to do with it?

What am I missing?

Thanks in advance for your help.

They didnt like the European countries expanding their empires but they have no problem expanding their own borders. However, the U.S. didnt really consider it imperial expansion since they would say things like well only stay here for a temporary amount of time. And by temporary it just meant indefinitely. >.> I think it already started at that time where they would practise economic imperialism.

Help, I don

I don't understand these, I am suppose to Factoring the differences of squares.

1. x^2-49

2. -16 49h^2

3. 18a^4-72a^2

Please Help me I don't get it. These are my last couple of problems for this section.

1) (x-7)(x 7)

2) did you type that right?

3) below

18a^4 - 72a^2

18a^2 (a^2 - 4)

18a^2 (a-2) (a 2)

q2 rearrange the expression

49h^2 - 16

consider each term as a perfect square

(7h)^2 - 4^2

now you have "The Difference of Two Squares"

factor as in q1... the sum times the difference

Do Not Sell, Or Do Not Sale?

At work, my friend put on some boxes "Do Not Sale," and our boss and I thought it was funny because we think it's supposed to be "Do not Sell," but she thinks it can go either way. We don't think it can go either way, so I told her I'd check here to see what everybody else thought.

Thanks!

You are right, it is DO NOT SELL. You may continue to laugh!

It is sell. Period, No discussion. Maria, however, is also wrong. Sale is not always a noun. "For" is a preposition, therefore, 'for sale' is a prepositional phrase. The subject of a prepositional phrase is not considered a noun in the traditional sense. It is part of the phrase.

Your friend is mistaken. Sale is actually a noun (person, place or thing). Sell is a verb (an action) So when you say do not do something (an action) you should use a verb, not a noun.

Eitheir you're not going to put them on sale, or you don't want to sell them. Two different things.

It is "Do Not Sell" in this context. Or, as another has said, "Not For Sale".

Do Not Sell

or

Not For Sale, would be correct

She's wrong it's don't sell

American citizen who started her education in the USA, moved to the Philippines after 6th grade to start 1st year in a private, Catholic high school, wants to go back to America for college. Do I have to go back to high school in America (high school in the Philippines is only 4 years long) or am I limited to a college that accepts foreign students only?

I have just spent time looking at online application for North Texas State University where my wife wants to go and there is a longish section on citizenship and various choices there. But the first question is "Are you a U.S. Citizen?" and if you answer yes, you skip all the rest. With an American birth certificate in hand, you are a citizen.

American high school is only 4 years long, after 8 years of elementary although in some systems 7 & 8 are called Junior High or Middle School which may also apply to 7, 8 & 9 with labeled high schools in that district offering 10, 11, 12.

If you started Philippine High School after 6th grade and only took a total of 10 years of school, then the colleges would want to look closely at what you had.

A lot will depend on the college. Like any student trying to get into college, you'd have to have grades good enough for the college, probably need to take those SAT's (whatever the kids take these days) and get a high enough level on them, put in your application, write the essays, do the interviews and hope the college will accept you. Your best bet would be to go online and look at the colleges you are interested in, review what they requirements are, send for an application and brochure. If you like the college a lot, you can probably set up a phone interview to talk to an admissions counselor to see what you'd have to do.

you have to take an assessment test at the school you're applying for so they'll know what year level to accept you in. otherwise you can directly apply to the university you want to enter and ask for their admission requirements. take it from there. good luck

High School in America is 4 years long as well.... just a side note for ya.

They have them at my school too, they are probably doing the Teacher training course, where they leave school and watch other teachers work and see if they want to make themselves one eventually.

English grammar help: how to use verbs after "to"?

English grammar help: how to use verbs after "to"?

well, I can't actually distinguish when I should change the verb to be "-ing" form after "to".
For example,
"I want to party."
here, party is a verb and it's not in a "ing" form
however, in some cases,
for example,
" I opposed to working with this group."
here we have "ing" form after to.

I mean that's not only the example,
can anyone plz explian me why it is like that and if you guys have any more situations like that, plz like me know.
Can you just jot down a list here to state in which cases to use "-ing" form after to?
thanks!

"To" has two different meanings and functions in your two examples.

In "I want to party," the word "to" is part of the infinitive form of the verb "to party." English always uses the word "to" plus the infinitive form of the verb to express the infinitive form in a sentence.

In "I am opposed to working with this group" the word "to" is a preposition. "Working" is the participle form of the verb "work," so it's actually functioning as a noun in this prepositional phrase "to working." When "to" is a preposition, it has to have an object, and the object has to be a noun, so the participle form of a verb can be the object of the preposition.

That's the rule--I hope it helps and didn't just confuse you more :\

to + (the verb in present tense) = infinitive

e.g. "to run" is an infinitive

to be or not to be, that is the question.

Party isn't a verb

when adding ing to a verb do not use to

i want to go partying?

a convenience far outweights it's risk, but make sure you know the details. thefine print of the situationcould get you in the end...

Think thoroughly before deciding to take the 'easy' option, because the little complications that you will probably overlook might turn round and bite you. ;)

The fact that it is easy and convenient makes the risk seem less. But make sure that you know the all what is involved. Easy to overlook detail that could affect you unexpectedly.

Make sure you know all the consequences before taking the easy option

Don't take unnecessary risks, the hidden factors may catch you out.

I wanted to know if you go to VCS Ohio went you graduate from high school do college's look down on you because of it? My mom won't let me apply because she thinks if I go there I won't get into a good college, is it true?

i dont no anything about that school personnaly, but it sounds like its either a form of homeschool or cyber school. But colleges will still accept you, either way as long as you have good grades. I go to a cyber school and I and can get into college,

It looks like it is a charter school.
Don't worry, colleges will not look down on the school because it is a legit school but done through the internet. You're mom is just leary. Tell her not to worry.
With Governor Strickland signing a bill to cut virtual schools by 74%, it's looking pretty grim for ALL Ohio virtual/charter schools. I have attended several budget sub committees to voice my opinion about this. It's getting scary. If it passes, it will look like virtual schools will either crumble or can only accept a certain amount of students per year. If they do crumble, that means back to public school or do the unschooling method in which your parents would be your teachers.
Let's just hope and pray.

I am pushing myself to hard.?

I am pushing myself to hard.?

I'm taking Pre-Ap Geometry right now(FYI...I'm a High Skool Freshman) and I took Pre-Ap Algebra 2 last semester. Now I'm planning on taking Algebra III and Trigonometry as a Sophmore, Math Analysis and Pre-Calculus as a Junior, and finally AP Statistics and AP Calculus as a Senior. Am I pushing myself too hard to become a Peditrician or something else in the medical field?

depending on your mathematical aptitude and your drive this could be right or too much (your other classes also factor in) This is a decelerated version of what I did (i ended up going to college my senior year of highschool)

myopinion-- It has been done, and you can probably do it

yeah, your overdoing it. by the time you get to college you might feel that you need a break and slack off. but you should relax. remember, life happens to you when youre busy making other plans.

Not at all. When you enter med "skool", you'll be prepared to work hard and understand the concepts which will give you an advantage over the others.

As long as you can handle it, I would say it is pretty impressive. Keep up the hardwork and you might become something in this life.

Not at all: best get it out of the way now, because there’s gonna be better things to worry about when in college.

i dont know wot any of that stuff is so yes i think

Help on Algebra 2 question?!?

Help on Algebra 2 question?!?

Nick's morning workout is a combination of jogging and riding his bicycle. He takes a total of 1 hour to jog 2 miles and bike 8 miles. His speed on the bicycle is 8 miles per hour faster than his jogging speed. Find Nick's approximate jogging speed and bicycling speed.

Thanks!

easy eight and 16

well he is going 2 miles a hour running. So if his bike speed is 8 miles an hour faster that would make his bike speed 10mph
that's not much of a algebra question its just simple understanding the problem.

jogging speed = 8 miles per hour
bicycling speed= 16 miles per hour

wow i have algebra 2 right noww and i still dont understand this question! lol i dont know where to start.. what chapter are u on?

Are genetics and punnett squares a biology or chemistry topic?

Are genetics and punnett squares a biology or chemistry topic?

They lean more towards biology, more specifically; genetics

biology, punnett squares deal with possible percentages of inherited traits, whether recessive or dominant, homozygous or heterozygous, etc. while the study of genetics deals with genes and everything about them. They're both skewed towards biology, although chemistry can be applied.

biology - they both have to do with genetics and genotypes and what not - although in the begining, there is some "chemistry" involved wink wink -giggity giggity, giggity goo - stay tuned america :P

Biology

Which method is correct, an HD TV or a HD tv?

Which method is correct, an HD TV or a HD tv?

an HD TV

Your question is way too broad.
I don't know what you mean but I would say HDTV is the way i would type it if that is what you are asking.

an

The "H" actually starts with the long "a" sound (ach with a long a). That vowel SOUND signals the need for "an."

don't care really
